Resolution Minerals identifies over 4 kilometres of antimony and gold strike at Drake East Project with LiDAR

Resolution Minerals Ltd has identified hundreds of new historical workings prospective for antimony and gold mineralisation at the Drake East Project in New South Wales, Australia, leveraging a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) interpretation conducted over the tenure.

Already host to fifteen antimony, fifty gold and three copper prospects over about 15 kilometres, RML has now additionally revealed 534 pits, 27 shafts and 15 adits across the project area.

The LiDAR interpretation has also identified a total of 56 linear features and veins across Drake East, over a collective strike length of 4,150 metres.

The company’s interpretation is ongoing, meaning the total number of workings and interpreted veins is subject to potential change.

Results beyond expectations

“The LiDAR interpretation to date has provided RML a glimpse into the antimony and gold potential of Drake East,” Resolution Minerals executive director Aharon Zaetz said.

“The plus five hundred historical mine workings that we have so far identified with LiDAR automatically become targets, which we will prioritise and move quickly to map and sample those for evidence of mineralisation.

“We will wait for the LiDAR interpretation to be completed, but even these interim results are beyond our expectations.”

RML has previously reported results of up to 5.72% antimony, 60.9 g/t gold and 214 g/t silver from samplings of various historical workings at Drake East, demonstrating the high-grade nature of the mineralisation on the tenure.

The project is also adjacent to Legacy Minerals’ Drake Project, which currently holds a resource estimate of 23.1 million tonnes at 1.1 g/t gold equivalent and 11.3 million tonnes at 99 g/t silver equivalent.

Resolution expects to complete the LiDAR interpretation within the next 7 to 10 days, after which the company will provide another update.
