North Bay Resources ships second gold concentrate from Bishop Mill

North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) said it has shipped a second test batch of 240 pounds of gold concentrate from its Bishop Gold Mill, processed from 10 tons of ore.

The junior resource company is optimizing operations at the Bishop Gold Mill, which processes ore from the Fran Gold Project.

Recent upgrades, including a new water recirculation system, are expected to increase capacity to 96 tons per day by recycling over 80% of water use. Previously, the mill processed only 10 to 20 tons per day.

A prior shipment remains in process at the refinery, the company said in a statement.

With stable gravity circuit operations, North Bay has begun implementing a flotation circuit to improve the recovery of very fine gold and increase overall concentrate production. Additional ore shipments from the Fran Gold Project are being prepared.

Fran Gold Project

At the Fran gold project, planning is underway for the extraction of 10,000 tons of near-surface material.

The company said consistent grades of 0.5 ounces per ton have been identified in trenches measuring 100 feet in width.

The 34,360-acre property, located 20 miles from Centerra Gold’s Mt Milligan Mine, has been explored with 50,000 feet of diamond drilling across 104 holes.

A 3,700-foot-long gold deposit, up to 120 feet wide and over 700 feet deep, has been delineated, containing multiple high-grade veins. Near-surface trenching has identified a zone where veins widen, allowing for easier extraction.

North Bay has 5,000 tons of stockpiled material available for shipment.
