Shopify Inc (TSX:SH., NYSE:SHOP) shares surged on the news the commerce technology company is transferring its US stock listing to the Nasdaq Global Select Market from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Shares of Shopify added 8.4% at about $102 on Wednesday afternoon.
Williams-Sonoma shares fell more than 6% after the homewares retailer issued light guidance, overshadowing an earnings beat for the fourth quarter.
The company guided annual revenue growth in the range of -1.5% to 1.5% and comparable sales growth of flat to 3%, compared to the consensus of 1%.
Boeing Co (NYSE:BA, ETR:BCO) shares jumped more than 6% after its chief financial officer Brian West delivered a positive outlook for the airplane manufacturer.
Speaking at the Bank of America Global Industrials Conference, West said the company’s first quarter performance is meeting expectations.
Alvopetro Energy Ltd (TSX-V:ALV, OTC:ALVOF) announced that it achieved annual sales volumes averaging 1,794 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) in 2024, generating net income of $16.3 million.
The company generated funds flow from operations of $33.3 million or $0.89 per share in 2024.
