Goodwin shares up 6% on record order book

Goodwin PLC's (LSE:GDWN) shares were up 6% in morning trading after it reported a record £300 million forward order book, reflecting strong demand and long-term contracts. The firm expects second-half profits to match those of the first half.

A key driver of this success was Noreva, Goodwin’s German-based nozzle check valve company, which has secured its largest-ever order - a $15 million contract for an LNG project. Goodwin Steel Castings will supply key components, reinforcing the Group’s integrated supply chain advantage.

Meanwhile, Goodwin said the Refractory Division was benefiting from booming investment casting markets, with jewellery sector growth exceeding 10% in some regions. Reduced capital spending and rising profits have helped Goodwin cut net debt by £10 million. The company also confirmed a final dividend of 66.5p per share, payable on April 11.

The stock rose 420p to 7,300p.
