Aftermath Silver Ltd (TSX-V:AAG, OTCQX:AAGFF) announced that it has appointed mining sector veteran Danny Keating as strategic advisor to the company as it advances the Berenguela silver-copper-manganese project in Peru.
The company said Keating brings more than 30 years of experience across a range of leadership roles in mining, processing, and infrastructure projects across various regions.
Keating’s recent work includes developing a high purity manganese project in Southern Africa, where he managed the construction of an EV battery demonstration plant and secured strategic investors.
He also has experience in investment banking and corporate finance.
Keating has served as the CEO of Giyani Metals, Alufer Mining, Dynamic Mining, and Lindian Resources.
“Aftermath's Berenguela project hosts a unique suite of commodities which I am confident Danny will help us transform into a compelling silver, copper and manganese development project,” Aftermath Silver CEO Ralph Rushton said in a statement.
“His understanding of battery metals projects and their fast-track development will play a key role in shaping our corporate strategy and positioning Aftermath Silver for success."
As part of his compensation, Keating will receive 400,000 incentive options, exercisable at C$0.60 per share for five years.
Additionally, Aftermath Silver announced that 1,692,000 warrants have been exercised, raising about C$590,000. The proceeds will support geological, metallurgical, and engineering studies at the Berenguela project, as well as general working capital.
