Guess? (NYSE:GES) shares surged more than 25% after the fashion brand announced it had received a go-private buyout offer from WHP Global at $13 per share.

The offer represents a 34% premium to the closing price of Guess? shares on Friday.

Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) announced that it plans to scale up exploration at its flagship Nisk project in Quebec during the second quarter of 2025.

The company said following a recent equity raise its exploration budget through to 2026 is more than C$40 million.

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (NYSE:AEO) shares moved higher after the retailer announced it has entered into a $200 million accelerated share repurchase agreement.

The agreement with Bank of America will involve the repurchase of approximately 18.1 million shares, or about 9.5% of the company’s fully diluted outstanding stock.

Affirm shares plunged after it was announced the company’s rival Klarna has secured a significant partnership with Walmart, replacing Affirm as the retail giant’s exclusive buy now, pay later provider.

Klarna will partner with OnePay, a Walmart-backed consumer finance app, to offer installment loans for purchases at Walmart stores and online platforms in the US.
