The new plant is scheduled to come on stream by the end of the year.

DekelOil’s (LON:DKL) new kernel crushing plant is expected to arrive in the Ivory Coast within 8 weeks having now left Malaysia where Modipalm, the contractor installing it, is based.

The new plant is scheduled to come on stream by the end of the year and will operate at 60 t/day with a capacity to produce palm kernel oil at a rate of 80t/day.

Executive director Lincoln Moore said: "Once operational the KCP will add another significant revenue stream to our producing Ayenouan project.”

The new plant is being installed alongside an expansion of DekelOil's Ayenouan operation in the country to 70,000 tonnes per annum.

Cash generated from an expanded Ayenouan will help fund the roll out of Guitry, a second vertically integrated palm oil project in the Ivory Coast, said Moore.
