Reabold Resources PLC (AIM:RBD) has appointed Paul Harris as a non-executive director at Rathlin Energy, the operator of the West Newton gas project in East Yorkshire.
Harris brings 35 years of energy sector experience, having held senior roles at NEO Energy and Nexen Petroleum. As COO and later CEO of NEO, he helped build it into the UK’s fifth-largest oil and gas producer, overseeing four major acquisitions and expansion during a volatile period for the industry.
His expertise spans technical, regulatory, and commercial operations, making him a valuable addition to Rathlin’s board as it progresses the West Newton gas development.
Co-CEO Stephen Williams said: "Paul is a strategic international oil and gas leader with a proven track record in progressing UK hydrocarbon projects.
"Paul has a deep understanding of the technical, regulatory and commercial environment in the UK and this experience will be invaluable in progressing West Newton"
Reabold holds an economic interest of 69.9% in West Newton, through its 79.8% stake in Rathlin and 16.665% direct licence interest. The project is seen as strategic for European energy security, aligning with Reabold’s focus on developing key gas assets.
