archTIS snaps up Direktiv assets to expand zero trust capabilities

archTIS completes Direktiv asset acquisition to expand zero trust capabilities

Global provider of data-centric software solutions for secure collaboration archTIS Ltd has finalised its acquisition of Direktiv’s technology assets, employees and customers.

“I am excited to announce the completed acquisition of Direktiv's technology, employees and customers,” archTIS managing director and CEO Daniel Lai said.

“It delivers us an innovative cloud-agnostic technology platform that will broaden our access to markets and brings valuable talent to our organisation.

“The acquisition positions us to accelerate product improvements, shorten time to market, and cross sell to offer our joint customers a comprehensive solution for securing and integrating various types of data using data-centric, zero trust enabled technology.

“The integration of Direktiv’s technology enhances our ability to implement zero trust across network, server and application data, establishing archTIS policy orchestration as the backbone connecting all of these points.

“Our enhanced capabilities for information security, data orchestration and AI governance will enable us to more rapidly grow our footprint in Australia, the US and global markets.”

Trust security framework

The acquisition enhances archTIS’ zero trust security framework by integrating Direktiv’s attribute-based access control (ABAC) and event-driven orchestration platform into its product suite.

This will extend the company’s capabilities beyond data security to include enterprise infrastructure, data lakes and application access controls – critical for organisations implementing zero trust architectures to mitigate rising cyber threats.

By incorporating Direktiv’s technology, archTIS is hoping to bolster its innovation capabilities and strengthen its global development teams in Europe and Australia.

The integration is expected to accelerate product development, improve operational efficiencies and expand cross-sell opportunities for an enlarged customer base.

Terms of the acquisition

The US$750,000 transaction will be settled in three tranches: an initial payment of US$350,000 at settlement, followed by US$250,000 six months post-settlement, and a final US$200,000 payment twelve months after completion.

As part of the acquisition, Direktiv’s founders, Wilhelm Wonigkeit and Jens Gerke, have been appointed to key leadership roles within archTIS.

Wonigkeit will serve as Global Architect, overseeing technical architecture and data-centric security strategies, while Gerke takes on the role of Software Engineering Manager, leading software development and innovation.

The acquisition positions archTIS to accelerate product enhancements and expand its market presence in Australia, the US and globally.

The integration of Direktiv’s technology will enable seamless policy orchestration across network, server and application data, reinforcing archTIS’ role as a leader in data security, orchestration and AI governance.
