Lindian Resources bolsters leadership team with key appointments

Lindian Resources Ltd has strengthened its leadership team with a series of key appointments to drive the development of its flagship Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi and advance its bauxite portfolio.

The company has appointed experienced mining executive Teck Lim as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Mining sector chops

Lim is a chartered accountant who brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and the mining sector, including rare earths and bauxite.

His background includes serving as CFO at Hastings Technology Metals Ltd, where he led finance, commercial and corporate development functions.

He was also instrumental in structuring a joint venture with Wyloo for the Yangibana Rare Earths and Niobium Project.

Lim has held senior roles at ING Bank, HSBC, Deloitte and KPMG Corporate Finance, where he managed mining and project finance advisory services.

His global financing experience includes working with government agencies, commercial banks, and private equity firms, with expertise in project feasibility studies, ESG considerations and structured funding solutions.

Leaner structure

As part of a shift towards a leaner structure, current non-executive chair Robert Martin will transition to executive chair, taking on additional responsibilities in government and stakeholder engagement while overseeing the management team and corporate governance.

Newly appointed non-executive director Zekai (Zac) Komur will establish and chair a Project Delivery and Technical Committee, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in mining, battery metals and green industries.

Additionally, Daniel Britz has been appointed as Site Construction Manager at Kangankunde. Britz, with 19 years of engineering and construction management experience, previously worked with Anglo American, ADP and Sierra Rutile Limited.
