Life Sciences REIT up 10% after it hangs out the 'for sale' sign

Life Science REIT PLC (AIM:LABS) shares jumped 10% after the company put itself up for sale as part of a wider strategic review.

The property investor, which focuses on life science hubs in London, Oxford, and Cambridge, has struggled since its 2021 IPO, with leasing activity stalling and its stock trading at a deep discount to asset value.

The board is now weighing options, including a managed wind-down or outright sale, with Panmure Liberum advising on the process.

In the meantime, the company has suspended dividends due to delays in securing tenants and announced plans to slash advisory fees to better align with shareholder interests.

Listed at 100p, the shares are currently trading at 42.64p, up 3.84p.
