RISERS
Mondi (LON:MNDI), among the top Footsie risers, up 3.04% at 1,457p after the paper maker reported positive results yesterday.
On Thursday, heavyweight Credit Suisse upped its target price for the shares by 145p to 1630p with an ‘outperform’ rating. Deutsche raised its share price forecast by 130p today to 1640p.
Centrica (LON:CNA), up 2.6%, as investors digested news from yesterday that the energy giant and British gas owner had signed new gas contracts with Russia's Gazprom and Norway's Statoil.
Regency Mines (LON:RGM), up 21.43% after it revealed it was set for work to kick off again at the Jebel Abyad phospate block in Sudan as it advances the project towards drill testing.
A team led by the firm's geologists will spend two weeks on-site carrying out exploration, working alongside Sudan's Geological Survey.
FALLERS
Rose Petroleum (LON:ROSE), down 16% as it told investors it was considering a share placing to raise between £3mln and £5mln to pay for drilling and exploration work.
Oilex (LON:OEX) down 11.11% to 3p as it said that Autoridade Nacional do Petroleo (ANP), Timor-Leste’s national petroleum authority, has issued a notice of intent to terminate the JPDA 06-103 production sharing contract.
Tungsten Corp (LON:TUNG) shed 10.34% to 130p desoite the electronic invoicing and financing company revealing that performance topped expectations in the second half of its financial year.
