Titan Minerals confirms significant growth potential: resource update on track for mid 2025

Titan Minerals Ltd has reported substantial growth potential at its 100% owned Dynasty Gold Project in southern Ecuador, following strong extensional drilling results. Recent drilling has intersected significant mineralisation approximately 150 metres below the current resource, with one hole returning 17.5 metres at 2.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) and 8.6 g/t silver (Ag), including a high-grade section of 5 metres at 5.5 g/t Au and 10.7 g/t Ag. This result is located about 220 metres northwest and down dip from a historical drill intercept of 16.3 metres at 5.7 g/t Au and 11.9 g/t Ag from 84.9 metres, highlighting the depth potential of the system.

In addition to deeper mineralisation, drilling east of the Brecha-Comanche resource returned a high-grade shallow intercept of 2.9 metres at 21.9 g/t Au and 10.4 g/t Ag from 17.9 metres, confirming an 80-metre lateral extension of the shallow resource, which remains open. The Brecha-Comanche East mineralisation is associated with a northwest fault zone that hosts wider and higher-grade mineralisation than typically found at Dynasty. This structural control presents a significant opportunity to expand the resource by targeting further extensions along the fault.

Titan has completed 11 drill holes for a total of 3,723 metres at the Brecha-Comanche target, testing lateral and depth extensions. Assays from three of these holes confirm multiple wide and high-grade epithermal vein and breccia-hosted zones beyond the current resource boundary. These results reinforce the company’s confidence in Dynasty’s growth potential, with the current Mineral Resource estimate standing at 3.1 million ounces (Moz) of gold and 22 Moz of silver. Titan is progressing with its resource definition drilling as it prepares for a Mineral Resource update in mid-2025.

Highlights include:

CVDD24-122

  • 2.9m @ 21.9 g/t Au, 10.4 g/t Ag from 16.9m downhole
  • 11.7m @ 3.9 g/t Au, 9.6 g/t Ag from 235m downhole
  • 13.0m @ 4.5 g/t Au, 22.1 g/t Ag from 330.6m downhole
  • 17.5m @ 2.5 g/t Au, 8.6 g/t Ag from 374m downhole
  • including 5.0m @ 5.5 g/t Au, 10.7 g/t Ag
  • 2.0m @ 6.1 g/t Au, 61.6 g/t Ag from 451m downhole

CVDD24-121

  • 3.7m @ 3.6 g/t Au, 9.6 g/t Ag from 64.6m downhole
  • 2.8m @ 3.6 g/t Au, 28.6 g/t Ag from 236.2m downhole

CVDD24-118

  • 7.2m @ 2.3 g/t Au, 19.9 g/t Ag from 24.1m downhole
  • 7.9m @ 2.3 g/t Au, 22.4 g/t Ag from 51.6m downhole

“Hole CVDD24-122 has been an incredibly successful hole for us, which we probed into the untested easternmost part of Brecha-Comanche. It has delivered multiple significant intersections from shallow depths while also highlighting the presence of wide, high-grade mineralisation at depth, confirming extensions up to 150 metres below current drill defined resources in an entirely untested area,” TTM’s CEO Melanie Leighton said.

“This result is a great reward for our efforts, validating our belief that the Dynasty gold system has the potential to grow substantially through targeted resource definition drilling. We now have a very good understanding of the geological controls at Dynasty, so can be very targeted in prioritising our resource growth efforts. We look forward to delivering further significant drill results as we work towards the Dynasty MRE update in mid-2025.”

Drilling extends high-grade mineralisation

Drillhole CVDD24-122 was completed northwest of historical drillhole CVD072, which previously intersected a broad mineralised zone of 102.7 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) and 4.5 g/t silver (Ag) from 46.5 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 16.3 metres at 5.7 g/t Au and 11.9 g/t Ag from 84.9 metres. Notably, no drilling has been conducted down dip between CVD072 and CVDD24-122, presenting a strong opportunity for resource expansion.

Mineralisation in this area appears to be influenced by a key northwest-trending structure, which may act as a conduit for wider and higher-grade mineralisation than typically observed in epithermal veins at the Dynasty Project. The associated fault zone and structural corridor represent priority targets for further high-grade mineralisation along strike. Titan’s geology team is currently assessing this zone and planning additional drilling in the untested areas.

Drillhole CVDD24-121, located 40 metres west and 80 metres north of CVDD24-122, was drilled on the same orientation to evaluate the eastern and depth extensions of mineralisation at Brecha-Comanche. The hole confirmed mineralisation from shallow depths—up-dip of Titan’s 2023 drillhole CVDD23-104 (11.1 metres at 3.1 g/t Au, 19 g/t Ag from 118.2 metres)—while also extending mineralisation at depth beyond the defined Mineral Resource. Significant intercepts include:

  • 3.7 metres at 3.6 g/t Au, 9.6 g/t Ag from 64.6 metres downhole
  • 8.3 metres at 1.4 g/t Au, 10.6 g/t Ag from 236.2 metres, including 2.8 metres at 3.6 g/t Au, 28.6 g/t Ag
  • 7.8 metres at 1.6 g/t Au, 8.7 g/t Ag from 304.7 metres

Drillhole CVDD24-118 targeted the up-dip continuity of resources at Brecha-Comanche in an area with limited near-surface drilling. Encouragingly, it intersected broad mineralisation from shallow depths, supporting the geological model and resource estimate. Key results include:

  • 7.2 metres at 2.3 g/t Au, 19.9 g/t Ag from 24.1 metres downhole
  • 7.9 metres at 2.3 g/t Au, 22.4 g/t Ag from 51.6 metres downhole

What’s next?

The Dynasty resource drilling campaign is progressing well, with 31 diamond drill holes completed, totalling 7,780 metres of the planned 10,000-metre program. Current drilling efforts are focused on the Cerro Verde prospect, where work recently commenced at the Esperanza and La Flaca-Bonanza epithermal gold target areas. Drilling in these zones is primarily extensional, targeting depth extensions in historically drilled areas where limited exploration has been conducted below approximately 150–200 metres.

Assay results are pending for several drill holes in extensional areas at the Cerro Verde and Iguana prospects. This includes five holes at Brecha-Comanche, seven at Iguana and Iguana East, two at Esperanza, and one at La Flaca-Bonanza. The company expects a steady flow of results in the coming weeks, having addressed laboratory turnaround delays with ALS.

Due to unusually high rainfall at the Dynasty Project, the company has decided to suspend drilling activities for one to two weeks to ensure safe working conditions for staff and contractors.

The Mineral Resource estimate (MRE) update remains on track for mid-2025, following the completion of resource drilling, receipt of all assay results, and geological model updates. The revised MRE will form a key component of the Dynasty Scoping Study, where multiple workstreams are already well advanced. Meanwhile, metallurgical testwork is nearing completion, with results for fresh (sulphide) mineralisation expected later this month.
