Charbone Hydrogen prepares for final power connection at Sorel-Tracy green hydrogen facility

Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) said it has completed the interconnection power line installation at its Sorel-Tracy green hydrogen project, with final connections expected in the first half of the year.

The company announced that the installation of the interconnection power line, including the necessary cables and wires, has been completed according to schedule as of earlier this week.

While some delays have occurred due to unforeseen railway access restrictions, Hydro-Québec is set to install the required poles for the interconnection on March 26.

The final connection to the site will follow shortly after, allowing Charbone to begin green hydrogen production at the Sorel-Tracy facility in the first half of the year.

“The lineman’s company has been highly efficient and was ready as required by the original schedule,” Charbone Hydrogen chief operating officer Daniel Charette said in a statement.

“Hydro-Québec has now everything they need to complete their work and will provide us with the energy we need on time for the delivery of the major components, their installation, and commissioning.”
