RISERS
Scientific Digital Imaging (LON:SDI), up 27.3%. The digital imaging technology firm said all product lines have contributed to growth in turnover in the second half of the financial year, and adjusted underlying earnings should be ahead of previous management expectations.
New World Oil & Gas (LON:NEW), up 19.3%. New World has noted both the movement in the company's share price and message board speculation about the company, but comments that there are no further corporate developments that require an announcement.
Borders & Southern Petroleum (LON:BOR), up 13.9%. Results of a comprehensive study of its Darwin gas condensate discovery have highlighted a previously unrecognised reservoir interval extending over part of the Darwin East and Darwin West structures, just above the main reservoir.
Stratmin Global Resources (LON:STGR), up 10.3%. The graphite mining and production company with assets in Madagascar, has achieved an overall average carbon grade of 94.3% in production carried out over an eight day period. "We've cracked it," Manoli Yannaghas, managing director, told Proactive Investors.
FALLERS
Kodal Minerals (LON:KOD), down 21.7%. The shares have retreated from 0.23p overnight to 0.18p after the company raised £400,000 through a placing of shares at 18p a pop.
Ferrum Crescent (LON:FCR), down 16.7%. The company has raised US$12mln through a placing of shares at a halfpenny each. The shares have fallen by one-eighth of a penny to five-eighths of a penny (or 0.625p for those of you who never got to grips with fractions).
Churchill Mining (LON:CHL), down 9.4%, Completing a trio of minerals companies raising cash, Churchill's shares slide to 14.5p from 16p overnight after the company placed shares at 10p along with warrants exercisable at 15p to raise £850,000.
