North Bay Resources sends test shipment from Bishops Gold Mill

North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) told investors it has now made a test shipment of 327 pounds of gold concentrate from its Bishop Gold Mill in California to Just Refiners in Reno, Nevada.

The shipment follows ongoing mill optimization efforts that processed ore from the Fran Gold Property.

It noted that recent ore runs resulted in 2.44 troy ounces of contained gold from 10 tons of ore, which yielded a recovered gold grade of 0.24 ounces per ton. Currently, overall gold recovery is estimated at 50%, with 70% of gravity-recoverable gold already captured.

Optimization work is ongoing, with a flotation circuit coming online to recover fine gold and gold in quartz, which is expected to increase total recovery by up to 30%.

“The gravity circuit is now efficiently processing material and optimization of the jaw crusher, ball mill, centrifuge, and shaker table are now largely complete. The company is now implementing the flotation circuit and increasing gravity circuit throughput,” the company noted in a statement.
