Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW) released a short but positive trading update on Wednesday, saying trading in January and February has been ahead of expectations.
The owner and licensor of the Warhammer tabletop game said trading had been strong across both its core business and licensing.
"As a result, the group's profit before tax for the 12 months to 1 June 2025 is estimated to be ahead of expectations," it concluded in the two-sentence update.
Shares in the designer and maker of miniature figurines, which was promoted to the FTSE 100 just before Christmas, have soared more than 2,500% over the past decade and reached an all-time high of 14,680p in January.
In that month, the company reported profits soaring by a third in the first half of its financial year, with revenues up 21%, of which licensing revenue rose 150%.
After Games Workshop signed a deal with Amazon for a TV and film series, it said excitement over this helped boost footfall at its shops.
