ONGold Resources Ltd (OTCQB:ONGRF) (TSXV:ONAU) CEO Kyle Stanfield talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference in Toronto about the company's recent acquisition from Agnico Eagle, securing a major 3.00 million-ounce gold resource in Manitoba. The deal also saw Agnico Eagle take a 15% stake in ONGold, strengthening its position as a significant shareholder.
Stanfield discussed ONGold’s plans for the newly acquired Monument Bay project, including reactivating exploration with modern techniques and conducting additional drilling to expand the resource. He highlighted the importance of Indigenous partnerships, noting that ONGold has been engaging closely with local communities to ensure responsible development.
Additionally, Stanfield provided an update on the company’s TPK project in Ontario, which remains a key focus. He emphasized ONGold’s commitment to meaningful consultation with Indigenous groups, leading to breakthroughs in community support and plans to resume on-the-ground activities this summer.
Looking ahead, ONGold aims to define the long-term potential of Monument Bay, with plans to determine the mine’s structure and operational outlook in the coming years. The company anticipates key exploration results later in 2025, with further developments expected in 2026.
