Canadian North Resources Inc. (OTCQX:CNRSF) (TSXV:CNRI) Head of Corporate Development Sophy Cesar talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference in Toronto about the company's advanced critical minerals project in Nunavut. The project, initially discovered by Inco in 1950, has seen over $200 million in investments, with $50 million contributed by Canadian North Resources since its 2022 public listing.
Cesar highlighted that the company is exploring for key minerals, including copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, cobalt, and rhodium. The site boasts significant infrastructure, including a 55-person year-round camp, generators, Starlink connectivity, and an 825-meter gravel runway.
The company recently updated its NI 43-101 resource estimate, now standing at 66 million tonnes of indicated resources and an additional 30 million tonnes inferred. As it moves towards pre-feasibility, Canadian North Resources is conducting environmental studies, engaging with local communities, and planning a bulk sample program.
"We feel we've done a lot of the exploration part of it. Now, we're laying the groundwork to move towards pre-feasibility," Cesar said.
With growing industry attention on critical minerals, Canadian North Resources sees strong interest from major players. Stay tuned for further updates as the company advances its plans.
