Dynamic Metals Ltd has begun a Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Cognac West prospect, part of the Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia, after defining multiple drill targets from large soil sampling anomalies and high-grade rock chip assays. Key assay results include 2,040 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) in sample DM1007, 53.1 g/t Au in DM1010, 8.95 g/t Au in DM1008, and 3.27 g/t Au in DYM2424091006.
The drilling program will comprise up to 75 holes and aims to enhance the understanding of fresh rock geology and refine targeting for potential mineralisation. The campaign will be executed over multiple field programs as part of Dynamic’s systematic exploration strategy.
About Cognac West
The Cognac West prospect exhibits structural complexity, with interpreted second-order structures surrounding a late-stage felsic intrusion located approximately 500 metres east of the major regional structure, the Republican Thrust. The area has a history of near-surface exploration dating back to the 1970s, including soil sampling and shallow drilling. However, historical datasets are often incomplete and primarily focused on gold assays. Notably, a peak gold assay from the 1990s recorded 1 metre at 91.3 grams per tonne (g/t) from 41 metres in drill hole JSA0253.
In 2024, Dynamic conducted an extensive soil sampling program at the prospect, collecting samples every 50 metres along 200-metre-spaced east-west lines. Initial results identified three zones of gold anomalism above 0.025 parts per million (ppm) (25 parts per billion [ppb]). Follow-up infill sampling delineated several higher-grade zones exceeding 0.1ppm (100ppb). Additionally, geological mapping and rock sampling confirmed the potential for significant gold mineralisation, returning peak assay results of 2,040g/t, 53.1g/t, and 8.95g/t.

The company has integrated all collected data into its geological model to refine RC drill targets across Anomaly A and Anomaly B. Up to 75 drill holes are planned in the initial phase, aiming to improve the understanding of fresh rock geology and further delineate gold mineralisation within the structurally complex prospect area.
What’s next?
The first phase of drilling is set to continue through March, with assay results expected to begin arriving from the laboratory in April. These results will inform the second phase of drilling.
