Libero Copper & Gold Corp (OTCQB:LBCMF)(TSXV:LBC) CEO Ian Harris talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas at the PDAC conference in Toronto about the company’s ongoing exploration efforts at the Mocoa copper project in Colombia. Harris highlighted the project’s strong geological potential, emphasizing that it is located in the same Jurassic Belt as major copper deposits in Ecuador.
Harris noted that Mocoa has a resource of over 600 million tonnes and that current drilling aims to push it past the 1-billion-tonne mark. "Our recent drill results include some of the best copper intercepts globally over the past year," he stated. The company is conducting a 14,000-meter drill program, which is expected to lead to an updated resource estimate by early next year.
He also addressed the operational environment in Colombia, stressing that success is built on strong local relationships. "I’ve lived in Colombia for five years, and I believe that national reputation and community engagement are key to advancing projects," Harris explained.
With drilling underway and positive momentum building, Harris remains optimistic about the project's future. Watch the full interview to hear more about Libero Copper’s strategy, drilling progress, and long-term vision.
