Syndicate Room: Final chance to invest in Carbon13’s climate-focused SEIS fund

SyndicateRoom, in partnership with venture builder Carbon13, is closing its Carbon13 SEIS Fund VII to investors this Friday (March 7).

This is the last chance to invest in the fund for the 2024/25 tax year and benefit from SEIS tax relief, including up to 50% income tax relief for eligible investors.

“We're seeing strong interest as investors look for opportunities that combine financial returns with positive climate impact,” said Graham Schwikkard, CEO of SyndicateRoom. “With just days to go, we encourage interested investors to act quickly.”

The fund will back 6-10 pre-seed startups tackling climate challenges in materials, food systems, energy, and the built environment. These startups are selected from Carbon13’s Venture Builder programme, which has helped its portfolio companies raise over £35 million in follow-on funding.

“Carbon13 has a strong track record of supporting founders who are building scalable ventures to fight climate change,” said Dr. Nicky Dee, Co-founder and CEO of Carbon13.

Past success stories include Materials Nexus, which applies AI and quantum mechanics to develop low-carbon materials. After Carbon13’s programme, it raised £2 million in seed funding led by Ada Ventures.

The minimum investment in the fund is £10,000. Investors can apply online at syndicateroom.com before the March 7 deadline.
