Lanthanein Resources Ltd has restarted diamond drilling at the Lady Grey Project in the Mt Holland region of Western Australia’s Yilgarn Craton.
Drilling aims to test a modelled conductor plate identified through a Moving Loop Electromagnetic (MLEM) survey along Line #1.
The first hole is planned to reach approximately 325 metres, with a second hole about 200 metres east along the same survey line, targeting a depth of around 350 metres.
MLEM Survey Line #1 target aligns with a significant surface gold geochemical anomaly of 256 parts per billion (ppb) gold, coinciding with a regional structural zone known for its gold-hosting potential.
Lady Grey is adjacent to Covalent Lithium’s Mount Holland mine site, which hosts the historic Bounty Gold Mine. The Bounty mine previously produced about 1.3 million ounces of gold.

Drill bit spinning again
“We are really very excited to finally get the diamond drill bit spinning again to test the high-ranking modelled EM conductor plate under Line #1, which coincides with the 256 ppb gold UFF soil anomaly,” Lanthanein technical director Brian Thomas said.
“The approvals process for Line #1 has been rather protracted with the need for the flora and fauna survey report with DEMIRS and the heritage survey by Ballardong Aboriginal Corporation and their heritage consultants to be completed first.
“There were also significant delays with finalising the drilling of the plate under Line #6, with a bushfire in Mt Holland at the end of January and early February causing disruption to drilling operations.
“We are grateful to Terra Drilling for being able to step in on short notice to drill the final two diamond holes of the program.”
Drilling is underway on the modelled conductor plate beneath MLEM Line #1, utilising refurbished historical access and grid lines. The conductor plate, located 114 metres below the surface and dipping eastward, is being tested with diamond drill holes as outlined in the image below.
