Imugene Ltd has appointed Darren Keamy as its chief financial officer (CFO) and company secretary, bringing nearly two decades of experience from Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals, where he played a key role in corporate governance, risk management, financial reporting, capital raising and international expansion.
Keamy joins Imugene following a 19-year tenure as CFO and company secretary at Clinuvel, where he contributed to the company's evolution from a small biotech start-up to a profitable ASX-listed multinational.
During his time at Clinuvel, he was instrumental in securing more than A$95 million in funding, helping drive the company’s market capitalisation from approximately A$60 million to a peak of more than A$2.1 billion.
His experience spans multiple global jurisdictions, having established legal and operational frameworks in the United States, Switzerland, Singapore, Ireland, Monaco and the United Kingdom. His expertise in financial strategy and investor relations has been crucial in navigating regulatory complexities and enhancing operational efficiencies.
Darren Keamy is Imugene's new chief financial officer (CFO) and company secretary.
Prior to Clinuvel, Keamy held senior financial roles at Amcor Limited, Salomon Smith Barney (now part of Citigroup) and Superdrug Stores Plc in the UK. His broad experience in finance, risk management and compliance positions him well to support Imugene’s strategic growth initiatives.
“Darren’s outstanding experience in financial management, capital markets and corporate governance within the life sciences sector makes him a valuable addition to Imugene,” Imugene’s managing director and CEO Leslie Chong said.
“His proven ability to drive financial performance and strategic growth will support the company as we continue advancing our immuno-oncology pipeline. We are delighted to have him on board.”
