Synchronoss Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:SNCR) has launched Capsyl Cloud, a new personal cloud platform designed for mobile operators and broadband providers.
The service aims to help operators quickly introduce their own branded cloud storage solutions without major investment.
Capsyl Cloud allows users to store and manage their digital content across all devices, including photos, videos, and messages.
It also uses AI-powered tools to enhance and organize content, offering features like intelligent search, automatic memory curation, and image enhancement. The goal is to provide a smarter, more interactive cloud experience beyond simple storage.
Synchronoss CEO Jeff Miller said Capsyl Cloud is designed to help mobile operators stand out in a competitive market. “Capsyl Cloud provides a powerful, turn-key solution that allows service providers to rapidly launch premium personal cloud services—without the burden of heavy infrastructure investment,” he said.
Indonesia’s largest mobile network operator, Telkomsel, is the first to roll out Capsyl Cloud, offering it to millions of customers.
Lesley Simpson, VP Digital Lifestyle at Telkomsel, said the service will help users keep content secure and easily accessible.
“With Capsyl Cloud Storage by Synchronoss, customers can store and manage their photos, videos, and other important content more securely and conveniently,” she said.
Synchronoss expects strong demand for Capsyl Cloud in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Operators in these regions are looking for new ways to generate revenue, reduce customer churn, and boost engagement.
The company is showcasing live demonstrations of Capsyl Cloud at the MWC Barcelona event, where potential partners can see how the platform works.
With data security and privacy at the forefront, Synchronoss aims to make Capsyl Cloud a key player in the growing market for personal cloud storage.
