Georgina Energy PLC (LSE:GEX) has provided an operational update on its helium, hydrogen, and natural resources projects in Australia.
The company, in a statement, confirmed that the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS1) for its EP513 Hussar prospect has been completed. Although, the addition of 350 square kilometres to the project area means a further EIS2 study is required.
Site access for required surveys is scheduled next week, with the final report expected to be submitted by May.
For the EPA155 Mt Winter prospect, Georgina Energy’s consultants are currently reprocessing seismic data and updating volumetric details, with a final assessment report due in April.
At the same time, talks are continuing over additional targets which are believed to host proven high concentrations of helium, hydrogen and hydrocarbons.
"Despite the weather causing some adjustments to our timeline, the expanded structural closure at Hussar represents a larger opportunity than initially expected which is within our existing Exploration Permit area,” chief executive Anthony Hamilton said in a statement.
He added: “I'd like to assure all of our shareholders that we remain committed to systematically advancing both projects and unlocking their full potential."
