Alkane Resources looks to grow Tomingley ore reserve with new gold lodes identified in resource expansion drilling

Alkane Resources Ltd has hit high-grade gold in step-out resource expansion drilling at the Tomingley Gold Deposit in New South Wales, intercepting three new gold lodes (lodes 81, 85 and 86) and unearthing grades up to 1.3 metres at 91 g/t gold from 108.3 metres of depth.

The company drilled 91 holes over more than 15,400 metres at the Caloma Two deposit, open both at depth and along strike for further exploration, as many of Tomingley’s deposits are.

ALK will follow-up with more drilling once these initial results can be appraised, with an eye to growing the ore reserves for the project.

Golden future ahead for Tomingley

“This drilling demonstrates the significant resource expansion potential at Caloma Two,” Alkane Resources managing director Nic Earner said.

“Underground drilling continues at other deposits. We will now evaluate the economic recovery potential of these new lodes, which may result in further drilling to allow inclusion into our reserves.

“With the continued expansion of the ore that can be mined, the future of Tomingley is very bright.”

Alkane is also drilling at the Caloma One, Wyoming One and Roswell deposits.
