Aftermath Silver sees more high-grade silver and copper intercepts at Berenguela

Aftermath Silver Ltd (TSX-V:AAG, OTCQX:AAGFF) reported additional assay results from its Phase 2 diamond drill program at the Berenguela silver-copper-manganese deposit in southern Peru, with drilling in the Eastern Zone yielding the longest copper intercept to date.

One hole intersected 156 meters grading 1.12% copper, 290 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, and 7.3% manganese from surface.

The hole also returned the highest silver assays recorded at Berenguela, with samples reporting 12,354 g/t silver over 1 meter and 16,151 g/t silver over 0.95 meters, resulting in a combined 1.95-meter interval averaging 14,252 g/t (1.43%) silver.

Drilling on a 100-meter step-out section further demonstrated the continuation of mineralization in the Eastern Zone, an area characterized by higher copper content and considered more proximal to a potential intrusive porphyry-style source, according to a statement from Aftermath.

The company has expanded its Phase 2 program to 5,200 meters, with final assay results expected in the coming weeks.

“These holes were drilled in the Eastern Zone of the mineralisation with the goal of following up on a previously drilled high-grade copper area to the west,” said Ralph Rushton, CEO of Aftermath Silver.

“Drilling in this zone, which hosts mostly inferred resources, was an objective of ours from the outset and we are very pleased with the results.”

The Berenguela deposit contains silver, copper, and manganese, key metals in the critical minerals sector. The Eastern Zone remains open at depth, with additional drilling ongoing.
