Novo Resources Corp prepares to begin drill targeting after geochemical sampling of John Bull and Tibooburra gold projects

Novo Resources Corp is poised to begin selecting drill targets at the John Bull and Tibooburra gold projects in New South Wales, having collected hundreds of soil and rock chip samples from both tenure packages.

Mapping the results from these samples will allow NVO to select gold targets for drilling with high potential to hold mineralisation.

Overall, the company collected 340 soil and 63 rock chip samples over a 1.3-kilometre-long trend at John Bull and a combination of 962 soil and rock chip samples over a 2.8-kilometre trend at Tibooburra’s Clone prospect.

Results expected by mid-March

“We are very excited to have been able to quickly progress exploration activities across our recent additions to Novo’s exciting exploration portfolio,” Novo Resources acting CEO and executive co-chair Mike Spreadborough said.

“These projects are key priorities for Novo and the team is eagerly awaiting the results from geological and geochemical sampling campaigns, expected in mid-March 2025, that will allow us to effectively determine targets for drilling.

“We look forward to updating the market as these key milestones progress.”

Novo has also undertaken an assessment of historical data and remote area geophysics at the Toolunga Project in the Onslow District of WA which has generated multiple targets for on-the-ground follow-up.

The company is also a step closer to being granted the 890-square-kilometre Odette 4 Rocklea exploration application at the Cane River Project, which is expected to be granted in the second quarter of the 2025 financial year.

Activities at NVO’s Pilbara projects have been affected due to tropical Cyclone Zelia, potentially delaying drilling programs in the Karratha District, at the Balla Balla Gold Project and in the Egina JV area.
