Black Swan Graphene (TSX-V:SWAN) has appointed industry veteran Dan Roadcap as head of technical sales and business development, bringing more than 20 years of experience in polymers and advanced materials to advance the company's sales growth and market expansion.
The company, which is commercializing high-performance and low-cost graphene products, said Roadcap brings extensive expertise in production operations, plant management, research, and business development.
His background in polymer compounding and advanced material formulation has been instrumental in establishing supply chains and identifying market opportunities, which are skills that align well with Black Swan’s strategic goals, the company highlighted.
Before joining Black Swan, Roadcap held the role of key accounts, technical sales and new market development at a leading firm within the advanced materials sector where he managed accounts totalling more than US$45 million in sales.
"As Black Swan is entering an exciting growth phase it is enabling us to attract top talent, and we are delighted to welcome Mr Roadcap to our team,” Black Swan CEO Simon Marcotte said in a statement.
Marcotte said Roadcap’s expertise will be key as the company expands its presence in industrial sectors like polymers and concrete.
“Dan's extensive industry experience and technical acumen not only align perfectly with our mission to drive large-scale production and commercialization of high-performance, cost-effective graphene products, but his decision to come on board speaks volumes about the confidence he has in what we've built,” the CEO said.

Roadcap expressed excitement at joining the company at “such a critical juncture.”

Shares of Black Swan Graphene had added 9% by midday Tuesday at around C$0.85 in Toronto.
