Arizona Gold & Silver expands mineralized zone at Philadelphia project

Arizona Gold & Silver Inc (TSX-V:AZS, OTCQB:AZASF) has announced additional gold intercepts from drilling at the Philadelphia gold-silver project in northwestern Arizona.

The company reported that recent drilling at the Rising Fawn target continues to return strong gold grades over significant widths, with two newly completed holes extending mineralization along strike.

One hole intercepted 43.45 meters grading 1.56 grams per ton (gpt) gold and 12.35 gpt silver, while the other returned 34.45 meters at 1.32 gpt gold and 9.01 gpt silver.

Both holes started at surface and compare favorably with previous results in the area, the company said.

“The width and grade of the Rising Fawn target continues to be impressive,” said Greg Hahn, Arizona Gold & Silver's vice president of exploration.

“These results fall in line with my expectations based on the visual logging of the drill cores. Drilling is continuing.”

Further assays from additional shallow sub-horizontal holes at Rising Fawn are pending, and drilling continues to test mineralization at depth.

At the Red Hills target, ongoing drilling will be guided by upcoming assay results.
