Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals PLC (LSE:HEMO, OTC:HOPHF) has taken a major step forward in its fight against acute myeloid leukaemia, announcing that it has administered the first-ever dose of its experimental CAR-T cell therapy, HG-CT-1, to a human patient.
The treatment is aimed at adults with relapsed or treatment-resistant acute myeloid leukaemia, a condition with limited options and a poor prognosis.
The company sees this as a key milestone in its clinical development programme.
