Predictive Discovery builds toward maiden resources at Fouwagbe and Sounsoun with strong gold hits

Predictive Discovery Ltd has struck broad intersections of high-grade gold at the Fouwagbe and Sounsoun prospects of the Bankan Gold Project in Guinea, which will form the foundation of maiden mineral resources for each target area.

The drilling at Fouwagbe unearthed solid results of up to 0.85 metres at 31.56 g/t gold from 14.15 metres and 7.5 metres at 2.13 g/t from 102.5 metres, offering a greater understanding of the mineralised zone within the prospect.

Drilling at Sounsoun produced broad intersections of up to 17 metres at 1.76 g/t gold from 35 metres and 23 metres at 3.07 g/t from 77 metres, with the latter hole ending in mineralisation, pointing to potential for more gold at depth.

Evidence of further mineralisation

“The Fouwagbe and Sounsoun targets at Argo continue to deliver encouraging resource definition drilling results as we advance towards maiden mineral resource estimates later this quarter,” Predictive Discovery managing director Andrew Pardey said.

“The high-grade results at Fouwagbe have extended known mineralisation in some areas and indicate the potential for additional mineralised shoots to be defined by future drilling.

“We are particularly encouraged by strong intercepts from an underexplored part of Sounsoun’s southwestern corridor.

“Among these results is one of the best drill holes recorded in the entire Argo area so far, which ended in mineralisation, highlighting the potential for extensions.

“This further demonstrates the scale of gold mineralisation in the area, reinforcing our belief that systematic exploration across the Bankan permits will continue to unlock significant opportunities.”

PDI’s current drilling activities are focused on the regional areas to the north of the NEB and BC deposits (host to the project’s 5.38-million-ounce gold resource), while the drilling results from Fouwagbe and Sounsoun are incorporated into resource estimates.

Predictive also intends to return the drill bit to both prospects, as the company considers the latest results “highly encouraging” and intends to follow-up with more exploration.

Additionally, PDI is undertaking early exploration activities at Argo and the southern part of the Bokoro permit to further develop the pipeline of targets moving through the exploration phases.
