Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) announced it is rebranding to Power Metallic Mines to reflect the company’s evolving strategy.
"Nickel isn't a four-letter word in North America but it also does not reflect the high-grade polymetallic discovery we have made at Nisk,” CEO Terry Lynch said in a statement.
“The Lion Zones impressive high-grade copper, platinum and palladium assays across now 40 holes and hundreds of meters of drilling suggested a more compelling name was needed.”
The name change will be effective at the start of trading on February 21.
The company’s shares will trade under their existing ticker symbol “PNPN.”
Lynch added that the company would be launching its new website www.PowerMetallic.com on February 21 ahead of “what we believe will become our most important phase of discovery yet.”
Power Metallic Mines is focused on developing the polymetallic Nisk project in Quebec.
