Tiziana Life Sciences announces dosing of additional patients in MS Expanded Access Program

Tiziana Life Sciences Ltd (NASDAQ:TLSA) announced that additional patients with non-active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (na-SPMS) have been dosed with its investigational therapy intranasal foralumab in its Expanded Access Program.

The program now includes 14 patients, with four new patients added to the trial.

The first 10 patients enrolled have shown either improvement or stability in their condition within six months of receiving treatment, the company highlighted.

The Expanded Access Program allows individuals with na-SPMS, who would otherwise be excluded from Tiziana's Phase 2a clinical trial, the opportunity to access a potentially transformative treatment.

“We are pleased to reach this milestone of enrolling 14 patients in our na-SPMS expanded access program. This underscores our commitment to addressing the unmet medical needs of patients with na-SPMS, particularly those who are not eligible for our ongoing Phase 2a clinical trial,” Tiziana CEO Ivor Elrifi said in a statement.

“We remain dedicated to advancing our therapies and look forward to further evaluating their potential through both expanded access and clinical trials.”

Tiziana highlighted its continued commitment to advancing innovative therapies for neuroinflammatory disorders such as na-SPMS, Alzheimer's Disease, and ALS.

Shares of Tiziana were on track to close over 11% higher on Tuesday at $0.88 in New York.
