D3 Energy Ltd has obtained three new technical cooperation permits (TCPs) adjacent to its flagship ER315 and ERA386 permits in the Free State of South Africa, expanding the company’s exploration footprint in a world-class helium province.
These three permits (TCP258, TCP259 and TCP260) cover a combined 5,797 hectares and are now available for exploration and appraisal.
The company says its work on permit ER315 has generated promising results, with multiple boreholes producing helium samples of up to 6.2% at sustained rates from shallow depths.
Details of TCP award
The TCPs are valid for one year and involve extremely low-cost desktop studies.
D3 Energy intends to apply for exploration rights once these studies are complete, should they point to promising new helium and natural gas opportunities.
Upon final grant of ER386 – and should the company be granted further exploration rights at the conclusion of the TCPs – D3 Energy expects to be able to add to the already extensive helium and methane contingent resource and prospective resource on the licence.
