Airbnb Inc (NASDAQ:ABNB, ETR:6Z1) shares surged afterhours as the alternative accommodation platform’s fourth quarter earnings impressed investors.
Revenue grew 12% year-over-year to $2.48 billion, ahead of the Wall Street consensus of $2.42 billion.
Growth was attributed to increased nights stayed a modest uptick in Average Daily Rate (ADR).
Earnings per share were $0.74, above estimates of $0.58 and a significant improvement from a loss per share of $0.55 in the year-ago quarter.
Gross bookings of $17.6 billion were also ahead of estimates of $17.2 billion.
For 2025, Airbnb projected revenue in the range of $2.23 billion to $2.27 billion, below the consensus $2.3 billion.
However, this did not weigh on the stock with shares gaining 13.5% at $160 shortly after the release of its report.
