The ASX closed 0.6% higher at 8,535.3 points. Over the past five days, the index has gained 1.41% and is currently 0.37% below its 52-week high.
Computershare Limited rose 15% to $41.53 per share after reporting its H1 FY25 results. The company recorded growth in recurring fees and transaction revenues, a 31.9% increase in return on invested capital and a dividend per share increase of 12.5 cents.
Amotiv fell around 7% to $9.87 after appointing a new non-executive director and making changes to its committee chairs.
Seven sectors closed higher. Industrials led the market with a nearly 2% gain, supported by strong performances from Computershare and SGH. Information Technology was the weakest sector, declining by 1%.
Anteris Technologies Global Corp has continued a good recent run, rising as much as $2.04, or 18.79%, today to $12.90 while Solis Minerals Ltd was as much as 48.94% higher to $0.14 on the back of appointing a new CEO and AuKing Mining Ltd increased to $0.006 from $0.004 after signing an MoU which is set to benefit the Cloncurry Gold Project in Queensland.
Other positive moves in the small caps sector were made by Olympio Metals Ltd, which was as much as 20% higher to $0.036; Asian Battery Metals PLC reached $0.056, 19.15% higher than the previous close; St George Mining Ltd signed a groundbreaking MoU to advance development of the Araxá Niobium-REE Project in Brazil and investors sent shares as much as 17.64% higher to $0.04; and Great Boulder Resources Ltd lifted 8.78% to a daily high of $0.062.
