Marriott International Inc (NYSE:MAR) shares slipped more than 5% after the hotel chain’s profit guidance disappointed investors.
For the full year, the company expects adjusted earnings per share of $9.82 to $10.19, below Street expectations of $10.63 to $10.65.
The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) shares moved higher after the beverage giant posted better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter.
Sales of $11.5 billion were far higher than the $10.7 billion expected by analysts and represented 6% year-over-year growth.
C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) announced it has struck an earn-in agreement with NYSE-listed copper giant Freeport-McMoRan Inc (NYSE:FCX, ETR:FPMB) to advance the Bellas Gate Project in Jamaica.
The agreement gives Freeport the option to acquire up to a 75% interest in the project through a staged investment totaling US$75 million.
