Nexus Minerals Ltd has launched an 11,000-metre regional aircore drilling program at the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia.
The program follows a recent gold discovery at the Payns prospect and aims to expand the MC2.1 target while also testing a new target, MC5.3.
MC5.3 is along the same mineralised corridor as Northern Star’s Porphyry and Million Dollar Gold Mines, as well as the Payns discovery.
Nexus Minerals stated that multiple gold discoveries made in 2024 reinforced the project's potential within the Eastern Goldfields.
The drill program is designed to assess underexplored but technically strong targets that could present significant opportunities for new discoveries.
The company expects a busy year ahead as it advances its 2025 exploration activities.
The aircore drilling program is scheduled for completion by March, with assay results to follow. Nexus Minerals plans to provide updates as results become available.
