Jet2 PLC (AIM:JET2) has cut down debt by buying back 10% of its convertible bonds due in 2026.
Some £33 million of the £337.4 million worth of outstanding 1.625% bonds had been repurchased for a total of £34.5 million, the airline said on Tuesday.
Having bought back £50.0 million in December, Jet2 noted £304.4 million of the convertible bonds now remained outstanding.
Jet2 in November had reported a 4% reduction in total debt to £1.3 billion over the half year to September, including as “certain higher margin aircraft loans” were repaid early.
Shares were up 0.7% at 1,533p on Thursday.
