Nevis Brands CEO John Kueber joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company has signed a licensing agreement with Drecisco Farms of Morton Grove, Illinois, to produce and distribute its flagship THC beverage, Major™. Since its 2019 launch in Washington State, over 5 million bottles of Major have been sold.
Under this agreement, Drecisco Farms will license Nevis’ full Major lineup and initially focus on producing Major shots in Blueberry, Fruit Punch, and Blackberry Lemonade flavors. Each Major beverage contains 100mg of THC, delivering cannabis effects within 10-20 minutes of consumption, offering a fast-acting, dosable cannabis experience.
Kueber highlighted the significance of this expansion, noting that Illinois reported nearly $2 billion in cannabis sales, with over 170 retail dispensaries across the state. As one of the largest cannabis markets in the U.S., Illinois presents a major growth opportunity. Nevis expects Major to be available in Illinois dispensaries by April 2025.
Currently, Major is sold in 10 states and is available across most of the U.S. through its hemp-derived THC product. Nevis projects that Major will surpass $15 million in retail sales by 2025, underscoring its growing footprint in the cannabis beverage market.
