Nevis Brands (CSE:NEVI, OTCQB:NEVIF) announced it has executed a licensing agreement with Drecisco Farms to produce and distribute its cannabis beverage brand Major in Illinois, one of the largest cannabis markets in the United States.
The company said it has commenced production planning with distribution set to start in April.
Drecisco has licensed the full Major lineup and will start production with Major shots in the flavors Blueberry, Fruit Punch and Blackberry Lemonade.
“We have long sought to enter the Illinois market and believe we have found the best possible licensee with Drecisco Farms,” Nevis Brands CEO John Kueber said.
“The Illinois cannabis market has remained strong from a pricing and demand perspective and represents a series of opportunities for Major beverages. With our recent launches in New Jersey, Mississippi, Missouri and Oklahoma in the last year, we are excited to replicate those successes.”
More than 5 million bottles of Major have been sold since it was launched in Washington State. It is currently available in 10 states and most of the United States through its hemp-derived THC product.
Nevis Brands said Major is on track to sell more than $15 million in retail sales in 2025.
