Pfizer tops Q4 sales and earnings expectations

Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE, ETR:PFE) posted stronger-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter and reaffirmed its 2025 revenue guidance.

The company continues to expect between $61 billion and $64 billion in revenue this year, with sales from Covid products expected to be stable year-over-year.

Excluding one-time items, Pfizer expects 2025 earnings in the range of $2.80 to $3 per share.

It also boosted its cost savings target to $4.5 billion by the end of the year.

For the fourth quarter, Pfizer reported earnings per share (EPS) of $0.63, which topped estimates of $0.46.

Revenue of $17.76 billion was up 22% from the year-ago quarter beat the consensus of $17.36 billion.

However, Pfizer’s share moved 1.6% lower after the pharmaceutical giant warned of an approximately $1 billion negative impact to its 2025 sales due to changes to the Medicare program.
