Coniagas Battery Metals taps Laurentia Exploration to lead Graal property drill program

Coniagas Battery Metals (TSX-V:COS) announced that it has engaged Laurentia Exploration to manage ongoing exploration activities at its Graal property in Quebec.

The company said it aims to expand the resource potential of the polymetallic project, which features nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum group metals massive sulfide mineralization zones, and enhance its economic viability.

Previous drill results from the MHY, Gravi, and Discovery zones have confirmed shallow, near-surface mineralization.

As part of the upcoming program, Coniagas plans to follow up on a geophysical anomaly identified in the MHY zone. This anomaly, a large conductive layer spanning approximately 1.7km with a depth extent of at least 850m, suggests further mineralization potential.

Additional borehole electromagnetic surveys have also revealed multiple untested conductors, which the company intends to test.

Coniagas CEO Frank Basa expressed optimism about the potential to build on past drilling success at the project.

“Numerous drill hole intercepts confirm the potential of Graal property for hosting significant and thick massive sulfides mineralization,” Basa said.

“We will continue to add to these results within known mineralized zones to increase our understanding while stepping out to expand those zones along the defined trends while exploring for new zones.”

Investors reacted positively to the update, sending Coniagas shares 14% higher.
