IQ-AI's Imaging Biometrics expands distribution deal with Bayer's Blackford

IQ-AI Ltd (LSE:IQAI, OTCQB:IQAIF) subsidiary Imaging Biometrics has expanded its distribution agreement with artificial intelligence imaging platform provider Blackford Analysis, which is an arm of German giant Bayer AG.

Imagine Biometrics's IB Nimble, IB ASL, IB FTB and IB FTB Express have all been added to the existing distribution agreement, allowing Blackford to also sell these products to its global client base of healthcare providers.

Blackford CEO Ben Panter said: "We see strong growth potential in using mobile technology across the healthcare enterprise."

In particular, he hailed IB Nimble's ability to "connect key clinicians through secure, real-time collaboration" and said this enhancement of communication and streamlining treatment decisions supported "more effective and efficient patient care".

Blackford, which was acquired by Bayer in 2023, offers its customers over 140 AI applications aimed at optimising workflows for primary care, building from a strong reputation in radiology, and a deployed customer base of hospitals, radiology groups and imaging centres.

IB Nimble is a mobile application that can interface with Blackford's Enterprise AI platform and is compatible with both Apple's iOS and Android mobile devices, facilitating secure, real-time collaboration among multi-disciplinary medical experts. It is a technology of "high interest" to Blackford.

IB ASL, also available via the Blackford platform, is a new product that incorporates arterial spin labelling (ASL), that uses the body's own blood rather than an injected contrast agent to measure blood flow in the care of patients who suffered a stroke.

The FTB mapping technologies, also available through Blackford's AI platform, help with the treatment of vascular brain tumours like glioblastoma and brain metastases.

IB chief executive Michael Schmainda said: "We appreciate Blackford's continued interest in our quantitative applications like FTB mapping, and are excited for the early and strong interest of IB Nimble."
