Thor Explorations Ltd (TSX-V:THX, AIM:THX, OTC:THXPF) has announced the appointment of Franklin Edochie to its board of directors.
Edochie is the head of metals and mining at the Africa Finance Corporation.
The new board member brings 18 years of experience in advising and executing transactions greater than $3 billion, including $1.2 billion in precious metals, mining and infrastructure projects in Africa.
Edochie replaces Osam Iyahen as AFC’s representative on Thor’s board. Iyahen served as AFC’s nominee since 2021.
Thor Explorations CEO Segun Lawson thanks Iyahen for his contribution to the company.
Lawson noted that during his time on the board, the company completed construction on the Segilola gold mine in Nigeria and has profitably produced gold for three years, during which it fully repaid its senior debt facility with AFC.
