Strix Group PLC (AIM:KETL), the kettle maker, told investors that it anticipates profits for 2024 will be ahead of market expectations when it reports in April.
Adjusted profit before tax for the financial year ending 31 December would be ahead of market consensus, the company said in a trading update on Thursday.
PBT will be “comfortably” within the range of £18 million and £19 million, it said.
Strix added that it had “actioned a number of structural improvements in the year” intended to support long-term growth, including strategic hires in finance and commercial teams.
In terms of financial health, it said net debt “remains a key priority for the management team”, with ongoing cash conservation actions resulting in strong cash generation in the period that allowed the year-end net debt leverage to remain below two times earnings.
Strix shares climbed around 5% in Thursday’s dealing, changing hands at 48.25p.
