ValiRx PLC (AIM:VAL) has extended its research agreement with the University of Dundee for another year to further study cancer treatments. The project focuses on pro-senescence, a method that forces cancer cells to stop growing.
The evaluation, conducted at ValiRx’s Inaphaea BioLabs, has shown promising activity but requires specialist techniques to complete. The extension will allow researchers, led by Professor Cleo Bishop at Queen Mary University London, to continue studying how the treatment works.
The research is backed by a £50,000 grant from Queen Mary University London’s Impact Fund, with ValiRx contributing £9,000. The extension runs until February 2026.
