Aurum Resources hits 150 g/t gold in diamond drilling; set to grow 1.59-million-ounce Boundiali resource

Aurum Resources Ltd has delivered multiple bonanza grade gold results at the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, peaking at 1 metre at 150.50 g/t gold within a 3-metre intersection of 50.56 g/t from 124 metres of depth.

The diamond drilling also returned 2 metres at 63.55 g/t gold from 111 metres, which included a 1-metre component of 110.95 g/t gold and 23 metres at 2.04 g/t gold from 118 metres.

Finally, a third drill hole encountered 1 metre at 9.28 g/t gold from 65 metres and 1 metre at 58.39 g/t gold from 71 metres, highlighting the strong potential of the Boundiali project, with mineralisation remaining open both along strike and at depth.

Strong results expected to continue

“I am excited to announce new shallow high-grade gold intercepts at our Boundiali project,” Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang said.

“Drilling at the BM Target 3 (BMT3) continues to deliver with MBDD130 intersecting 1 metre at 150.50 g/t gold within 3 metres at 50.56 g/t gold and MBDD123 returning 2 metres at 63.55 g/t gold, including 1 metre at 110.95 g/t Au.

“These results reinforce the exceptional potential of BMT3, which already boasts a project-best intercept of 1.19 metres at 277.54 g/t gold from hole MBDD118, and we remain confident that similar intercepts are foreseeable.

“Importantly, these latest hits will be included in the next Boundiali mineral resource estimate (MRE) update expected in the first half of this year.

“This update will build on Boundiali’s current 1.59-million-ounce MRE and incorporate results from our ongoing 100,000-metre diamond drilling campaign in 2025.”

AUE has six of its own diamond drilling rigs operating at Boundiali, with the goal of completing 100,000 metres of drilling and two separate resource updates on the cards for the latter half of the year.

Resource update upcoming

“We expect another resource update in the second half of this year, including results from drilling at the BD, BM and BST deposits, as well as numerous untested gold-in-soil anomalies,” Dr Wang continued.

“Our exploration efforts are aimed at delivering significant resource growth at Boundiali in 2025 and beyond, ultimately feeding into a pre-feasibility study (PFS) expected at the end of the year.

“At our Napié project, we're planning an aggressive 30,000-metre diamond drilling program in 2025 to expand the current 870,000-ounce MRE. An updated MRE for Napié is expected by year-end.”

With AUE’s takeover of Mako Gold moving to compulsory acquisition, the newly merged company has a combined gold resource of 2.47 million ounces and an aggressive, cost-effective drilling program targeted at further growth underway.

The company believes it is well funded to pursue its goals with $23 million in cash at hand.
